Architecture Working group. Notes for the meeting on 11 Nov. 2002

Present: Beniamino, Bob, Giuseppe, Saul, Serguei


 - Issues

   * It is proposed to address separately "issues" and "scenarios". 

   * Giuseppe will distribute his own "list of issues" with the goal of:

	- complete it (and may be removing giuseppe's missunderstadings)
	- group issues by common themes and sub-system/component
	- this will be done by e-mail

   * three issues were considered and assigned:

	
	* data bases --> Serguei, Beniamino (and Benedetto?)
	* parameters --> Saul, Bob, beniamino
	* ROI request scheme --> Saul, Giuseppe

     results should be distributed by e-mail (by early next week) for discussion and used as subjects
     for the next open meeting.

   * giuseppe will write down a "statement and suggested action" for the issue of common
     control & supervision

   * giuseppe will check how monitoring and errors are being followed up; in particular as  
     as regards to the questionof teh "monitoring workshop".

 - TDR

   * giuseppe will distribute his proposal for a TDR outline

 - deferrals etc.

   - this subject is being dealt with by the TDMT, which has distributed some preliminary material
     ahead of a series of open meetings wchih will happen next week.

   - giuseppe has proposed an "option-neutral" layout, for the purpose of counting the size of TDAQ
     wrt to different options and comparing options. 

 - Now that we have finished teh round of discussions, the question arises if we see emerging a global
   architectural picture. The answer is yes, although with some caution.
